Introduction:

The artificial intelligence of architectural design. Unfortunately, many architects use artificial intelligence only as a tool in design. If artificial intelligence is a help or even a substitute for the designer to solve problems and not just an algorithm to imitate and use in the architectural design process. As a result, architects can solve their problems intelligently by selecting a suitable design method by understanding the basics, origin, and genealogy of artificial intelligence and how it is derived from computer science. For this reason, it is essential to understand the genealogy and lines of artificial intelligence for problem-solving in computer science.

The etymology of artificial intelligence:

The word Artificial Intelligence is made from the combination of two words Artificial and Intelligence. But each of these two words has reached its current meaning over time. The word intelligence is derived from the Indo-European roots of the two words Inter meaning between and Legere meaning choosing; Legere itself is derived from Leg meaning to speak or to choose words. Little by little, the word "intelligence" entered the French language in the 12th century and was used to mean the ability to understand. Its Latin root was Intelligenia or Intellegenia, which meant "understanding, knowledge, discernment, art and skill, taste and taste". This word gradually became the word Intelligentem meaning to recognize and appreciate and then the word Intelligere meaning to understand and understand; Until the word intelligence at the end of the 14th century came to mean "the highest power of the mind, the capacity to understand general truths, and a being with understanding and understanding". Gradually, with 70-year-old history, is one of the problem-solving methods that has recently entered the world from the beginning of the 15th century, it took on the meaning of superior understanding, the quality of being intelligent and wise. In the middle of the 15th century, it evoked the concept of "received or published information or news" and in 1580 it was referred to as the "secret intelligence service of England's spies". The word "artificial" has reached its current meaning through a historical process. In Latin, the word Artificialis means "Of art or belonging to art" and the word Artificium meant "professional or maker". These concepts were used to mean art in work, skill in work, and ability in work, which is rooted in Artifex meaning craftsman, artist, or master in any art (music, acting, sculpture, etc.). Artifex itself is derived from Ars (Art) in addition to the suffix Fex meaning the concept of the maker (creator of tricks and tricks), which of course also comes from the root Facere which means to do and make. At the end of the 14th century in France, anything unnatural or spontaneous was called artificial. Since 1590 AD, this word has been applied to pretentious and dishonest situations. From 1640 onwards, anything impure, hypothetical, and imaginary was called Artificial. From the 16th century onwards, the word was used for anything that resembled or replaced the word natural. In 1890, the word artificial insemination was expressed for the first time. Finally, the term artificial intelligence in the science of engineering and making intelligent machines was mentioned for the first time by John McCarthy in the scientific workshop of Dartmouth College in 1956. (etymonline, 2022)

The particular definition of artificial intelligence according to the field of computer science is as follows: (dictionary. Cambridge, 2022)

1. Computer science tries to emulate human intelligence by providing machines with the ability to think.

2. Machine power to simulate intelligent human behavior

3. A computer program has some characteristics of the human brain - the ability to understand language, solve problems and learn from experience.
